Jo Offduty- Artist
Jo is a New York -born, Virginia- based artist working on mixed media. In 2000, Jo show cased a solo exhibition at the Art Center in Miami Beach, FL Jo's work has been exhibited and supported at The Women's Center of Jacksonville, FL and The DC Center in Washington, DC . Jo's work centers primarily on topics of spiritual, psychological and gender identity, both individual and collective. Recurring themes are power, vulnerability, sexuality, domestic violence and the sway between them. Alongside Jo's fine art practice, Jo has worked as a freelancer since 1999. In addition, Jo has been on the Washington Blade magazine in reference to the fine art work Jo continues to create, as well as Jo's Tarot and Oracle decks, which are used during private consultations with Jo's clients.
